Viewers who join the Greek Shipping Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony 2020 will have the chance to win a valuable impressionist seascape by important Greek painter Epameinondas Thomopoulos (1878-1976).<\/p>

Estimated to be about 100 years old, the painting will go to whoever is quickest to correctly answer a simple question about Greek shipping history that will be posed in the course of this year\u2019s Virtual Induction Ceremony.  The Ceremony will be streamed at 18:00 Athens time on Monday 5 October.<\/p>

This unique free-to-view event will celebrate Greek shipping, its leaders, history, and culture.  As well as unveiling the two new Inductees for 2019 the event will pay tribute to the 30 \u2018Greats\u2019 of Greek shipping already inducted into the Greek Shipping Hall of Fame.<\/p>

\u201cThis year\u2019s Virtual Induction Ceremony provides the opportunity to introduce the Greek Shipping Hall of Fame to a wider audience and spread the industry\u2019s remarkable story even further,\u201d remarked founder Nigel Lowry.<\/p>

The competition for the Thomopoulos seascape is being held in cooperation with Premium Sponsor Moore Greece that has agreed to oversee the competition. The first person to text the correct answer to Moore Greece will win the painting (see Competition Rules & Conditions<\/a>).<\/p>
