The Greek Shipping Hall of Fame is pleased to announce details of its next major event which will take place in Athens on the evening of Monday 27 April 2015 at the Hilton Athens.

The Greek Shipping Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Dinner 2015 will be a gala dinner evening that will celebrate Greek shipping and pay tribute to historic personalities who have helped to shape the industry.

This prestigious event will include an exciting programme of content specially produced for the occasion, a highlight of which will be the unveiling of the latest Inductees to the Greek Shipping Hall of Fame. The 2014 Inductees will join the 20 ‘Greats’ already inducted into the Greek Shipping Hall of Fame.

The Greek Shipping Hall of Fame is delighted to announce that the Induction Ceremony & Dinner 2015 is being sponsored by a number of leading organisations and companies and additional supporters will shortly be announced.

Confirmed supporters include ABS and Clarksons as Co-Lead Sponsors of the Event.

Christopher J. Wiernicki, Chairman & CEO of ABS, comments: “ABS is very proud to be associated with The Greek Shipping Hall of Fame since its inauguration in 2013. We have a long association with Greek shipping and welcome the opportunity to pay tribute to the many outstanding individuals who have shaped the Greek fleet from the Liberty Ships post World War II to the present day. We recognize their contribution to the development of the Greek fleet, their role and influence in the global maritime industry, as well as the legacy they have established for the next generation of Greek Shipping.”

Andi Case, Chief Executive Officer of Clarksons, comments: “Clarksons dates back to 1852 and we are proud to have been a service provider throughout the majority of that time to the Greek Shipping community. Greek Shipping today makes up a significant part of the world fleet, and with many Greek shipowners standing amongst the leaders in the Industry. An industry that plays an essential part in world trade. We are thus delighted to be associated with the Greek Shipping Hall of Fame and we wish to congratulate all those being honoured and enrolled for their significant contribution over many years.”
